James F. Goodmon Jr. is president and chief operating officer of Capitol Broadcasting Company Inc., headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. Goodmon has worked in a variety of roles and across a multitude of CBC business units. The company has evolved into a diversified holding company that expands across a multitude of businesses, including local media, commercial real estate, satellite communications, Minor League Baseball and most recently the building supply business.

Goodmon serves on the National Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, the board of the National Association of Broadcasters and the FOX Board of Governors. He also served as chairman of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the Salvation Army of Wake County.

He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and received an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
