The Richmond Fed’s very own Lisa White, executive vice president of Supervision, Regulation and Credit (SRC) is the 2022 recipient of the Bank on Women Champion’s Award! We are honored to celebrate Lisa and her award from Bank on Women, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the community banking industry on the importance of adding qualified women to boards and C-suites. Lisa and the SRC team have supported Bank on Women since its inception five years ago. This has primarily come in the form of making connections and hosting an annual forum to raise our voice on timely and relevant gender diversity issues in community banking.

“Bank on Women is an organization that elevates the voices of women leaders in banking and celebrates the value they bring to financial institutions. I am honored to accept this year’s Champion’s Award, and I am proud of the work the Fed does each day to support community banking,” Lisa said.

According to Bank on Women, a Champion is someone who actively engages the banking community in discussions about the importance of gender diversity and promotes talented women in banking. Lisa's career in SRC at the Richmond Fed has spanned 27 years and included various roles in community bank and large bank supervision before assuming the head of supervision role almost five years ago.

"Throughout her career, Lisa has served as an advocate and role model for women inside and outside of our organization. She has helped build the next generation of leaders, and I'm glad she's being recognized for this important work. Congratulations, Lisa."
