Peter M. Dolkart

Peter M. Dolkart serves as the Community Development regional manager for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for Maryland and West Virginia.

Prior to joining the Richmond Fed in 2015, Dolkart served as the director of Legislative Affairs for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. His previous experience also includes serving as the special assistant for legislation at the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development and in a dual appointment as assistant state’s attorney and special assistant city solicitor.

Dolkart’s work in the field of affordable housing and community and economic development spans more than 15 years and has included overseeing the successful passage of state and local legislation to streamline housing finance programs; identifying strategies to stabilize neighborhoods and reduce blight; and expanding resources to mitigate the impact of mortgage foreclosure on homeowners and communities.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2004. In addition to being a graduate of Leadership Maryland and the Greater Baltimore Committee, he is a board member of the Community Development Network of Maryland.
