Jacob Walker

Jacob Walker is a research analyst on the Richmond Fed’s Regional and Community Analysis team. He assists the Bank's Regional Economists on various research initiatives, policy and outreach work, with a primary focus on The CFO Survey, regional business surveys and pre-FOMC briefings. He also helps write and contribute data analysis to Bank publications such as Regional Matters and Snapshot. His research interests include the economics of labor, poverty, education, applied econometrics and machine learning.

Prior to joining the staff, Walker worked in the energy industry as a forecasting analyst, and developed and maintained electricity demand and price forecasts for various utilities and energy markets. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor's degree in economics.
