Colton Lapp

Colton Lapp is a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Lapp is a graduate of the University of Alabama, completing an accelerated master's program in economics after obtaining bachelor's degrees in economics and mathematics at the same university. His research interests include development economics, public policy, applied microeconomics, time series economics and climate economics.

As a second-year associate, Lapp has collaborated with several economists at the Richmond Fed. He has worked primarily with Thomas Lubik and Felipe Schwartzman, contributing to their macroeconomic research on international debt and dynamic stochastic general equilibrium modeling. In addition, he has assisted in the policy process at the Richmond Fed by helping run quarterly forecasts models and preparing economic briefings.
