District of Columbia
Payroll employment in the District of Columbia increased by 1,800 jobs (0.2 percent) in February. The unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage point to 5.1 percent.
Maryland
Maryland payroll employment increased by 1,800 jobs (0.1 percent) in February. The unemployment rate has risen 0.1 percentage point from January to 2.4 percent.
North Carolina
Payroll employment in North Carolina increased by 5,800 jobs (0.1 percent) in February. The unemployment rate remained steady at 3.5 percent.
South Carolina
Payroll employment in South Carolina increased by 4,400 jobs (0.2 percent) in February. The unemployment rate increased slightly to 3.1 percent.
Virginia
Total payroll employment in Virginia increased by 10,600 jobs (0.3 percent) in February. The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.0 percent.
West Virginia
West Virginia payroll employment increased by 1,600 jobs (0.2 percent) in February. The unemployment rate remained flat over the month at 4.3 percent.
