Hailey Phelps

Hailey Phelps is a research analyst on the Richmond Fed’s Regional and Community Analysis team. She supports the Community Development staff on various research initiatives and outreach work, and helps write and provide data analysis for Bank publications, including Regional Matters. Her research interests include labor market economics, growth and development economics, and economic inequality.

Phelps joined the Richmond Fed in 2020 as an economics writer in the Research Publications group and wrote articles for the Bank’s economics magazine Econ Focus and other Bank publications. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William & Mary.
